Organising a successful sync event requires teamwork. We have found useful to set a few roles:
- Organiser – the person who sets the agenda and makes sure everything is ready for the event. Responsible for logistics and communication before and after the event
- Host – the front person and presenter for the sync event
- Time keeper – helps the Host in keeping the tight schedule of the even. Has to be ruthless with a smile
- Suggestion: use a loud and fun way to keep people to time. Our favourite has been a squeaky pig, but a gong or a vuvuzela might work too!
- Caterer - Makes sure there is always food and drinks, as well as organising meals. It can be done for remote events too!
- Team helpers – team members or facilitators who look after each team’s participation in the SIS cycle and event. They make sure everyone is prepared across the value stream, including senior leadership.
Depending on your size, some roles may overlap or you may split them further.
